Archishade, manufacturers of premium aluminium shade solutions, has been named among the Top 25 businesses in the Tauranga Business Awards 2026. The recognition comes just a year after Archishade won Top Manufacturing Company, underscoring the firm’s consistent excellence in design, fabrication and customer service.
Celebrating local excellence
Proudly supported by Deloitte and Farmer Autovillage, the Tauranga Business Awards are the region’s premier black-tie celebration of enterprise, shining a light on inspiring local businesses and leaders across the western Bay of Plenty. The event is renowned for its in-depth, independent judging and for discovering outstanding entrants from right across the business community.
You don’t need to be a Chamber member to take part. The core criteria remain simple and inclusive: be GST-registered and primarily based within the wider Tauranga and western Bay of Plenty region. Government entities, publicly-owned entities, trusts and not-for-profits can enter relevant categories where eligible. Categories have recently been streamlined into three clear groups — Sector Excellence, Business Practices, and Public & Judges’ Choice — making it easier for businesses to benchmark themselves against the best.
Why this matters for Archishade customers
Archishade’s selection in the Top 25 highlights the company’s sustained commitment to quality and innovation across its range:
• Aluminium pergola systems engineered for coastal and high-wind conditions
• Ziptrak® outdoor blinds for year-round comfort and weather protection
• Cassette awnings that blend slimline aesthetics with reliable coverage
• Eclipse overhead blinds for adjustable light control and thermal performance
From early concept to site-specific engineering and precise installation, Archishade’s end-to-end approach helps homeowners and businesses unlock comfortable, usable outdoor space without compromising architectural lines. The recognition affirms what customers already experience: products built to last, delivered by a team that turns complex outdoor briefs into simple, elegant solutions.
A boost for teams — and the region
One of the most valuable aspects of the Tauranga Business Awards 2026 is the way it energises and motivates teams. Finalist status brings a significant morale lift, while the process itself — from entry through to the awards evening — encourages businesses to reflect on wins, set fresh goals and identify opportunities for growth. Even when entrants don’t make the finalist list, the independent judging panel endeavours to provide constructive feedback to help drive improvement.
The awards also bring public recognition and profile, elevating local brands and reinforcing the Bay’s reputation for smart, export-ready manufacturing and professional services. For Archishade, the Top 25 accolade is a welcome endorsement of a year spent refining product lines, investing in production capability and expanding service across the region.
A word from Archishade
“We’re thrilled to be named in the Top 25,” said the Archishade team. “Last year’s manufacturing win set a high bar, and this year’s recognition reflects the work our designers, fabricators and installers put in every day. Most of all, it’s a win for our customers — the homeowners, cafés, schools and businesses who trust us to deliver outdoor shade that looks great and performs in Bay of Plenty conditions.”
Thinking about your own project?
Whether you’re planning a clean-lined aluminium pergola, enclosing a courtyard with Ziptrak® blinds, or adding a sleek cassette awning to tame west-facing sun, Archishade can help you design a solution that suits your site, budget and style. A no-obligation consultation will map sun paths, wind exposure and fixing points, then provide a tailored specification and timeline — the same disciplined approach that helped secure this year’s Top 25 result.
